Is DevOps becoming more developer friendly? & How to excel in it…

DevOps started as less Dev and more of an Ops role, different organizations present different meanings of DevOps – all in all, it a mix of culture, processes and tools that facilitate smooth delivery of software while ensuring the dev, ops and testers are in the loop.

However, it is seen that nowadays, it is becoming more developer friendly that means Developers are more likely to grab or excel in this space than standalone Ops people.

The solution?
Yes, now its time to roll up the sleeves and get some software engineering principles and practices knowledge, which includes the following but not limited to:

  1. Coding – yes you hear it right
  2. Software Architecture – Microservices
  3. Databases
  4. SDLC
  5. Shifting security left a.k.a DevSecOps
  6. Observability
  7. APIs
  8. IaC
  9. Agile
  10. and the list goes on…

As famously said by a techie “DevOps is a journey of discovery not a destination” – hence it is always wise to upskill ourselves and stand out of the crowd!

If you find it useful, please like and share.

Cheers!
